I'm Giving Away 3 Lifetime Licences of NeuroRythm.

Celebrate the Product Hunt launch of NeuroRythm! Win one of three lifetime licences to the ADHD-friendly app built for how your mind works. Enter by Nov 30.

Hey Fam,

So... the Product Hunt launch for NeuroRythm is coming up, and I'm celebrating by giving away three lifetime licences. Each one is worth $90 AUD. It costs you nothing to enter. The giveaway opens 1 November, closes 30 November, and I draw the winners on 1 December.

Link to enter is at the bottom. But first, I want to tell you what you'd actually be winning, because it isn't another to-do list.

You've Probably Felt This

You've probably downloaded a productivity app, loved it for about a week, then watched it slowly turn into a list of everything you've failed to do. Red numbers. Overdue counts. A streak you broke and now can't look at. That isn't a character flaw. Those apps were built for brains that run on a steady supply of executive function, and when yours doesn't, the app quietly becomes one more thing to feel like shit about.

Come on... of course it didn't work. It was never designed for you.

It Started As A Text File

NeuroRythm began as a basic Python script and a notepad file. It pulled my calendar and popped up at 9am every day. I'd read it, agree it was right, and still not move. Seriously. Looked at it, nodded, did nothing.

That's when I realised a list wasn't the problem. Following through was, and nothing out there was built around that. So I started building. Fourteen months later, with no coding background, it's a desktop app with over 200,000 lines behind it. I built it because I needed it first. The part where it might help other people came later.

What It Actually Does

Think of it as a prosthetic prefrontal cortex. It covers the executive function gaps that don't work reliably for your brain, instead of pretending they do. It's a Cognitive Mirror, not a boss. It shows you your own patterns and gets out of the way.

Can't choose between forty-seven tasks? That's decision paralysis, not laziness. Task Roulette picks from your Task Pool for you. Had a rough week and disappeared? Life Events Pause keeps a record of the pause, so when you come back you don't blame yourself for being behind. Patterns and Insights tracks what drains your energy and when, so you can plan a lighter day after a big one. There's a Brain Dump, conflict checking so you never double book yourself, and a task panel that only shows up if you want it. No running list staring at you by default.

Then there's the language, which I'm a bit obsessed with. NeuroRythm states facts and never issues orders, because the ADHD brain has a contrarian reflex against being told what to do. It's "Past Due", not "Overdue". No shame, no guilt, no "you should have".

And your data stays on your machine. I don't take it and I don't use it.

I built it because I needed it.

How To Enter

Head to the giveaway page, pop in your name and email, and you're in. There are bonus entries for following and subscribing on the usual platforms, and each one is another chance at a licence. Winners are drawn on 1 December and I'll email you directly.

Windows Only For Now

Straight up: NeuroRythm is Windows only at the moment. A Mac version is being built, but there is absolutely no date on it, and I'm not going to invent one.

If you're on a Mac and you want to enter anyway, go for it. Win a licence and I'll honour it, so it's waiting for you whenever the Mac version lands. Just go in knowing that could be a while.

Why Give Them Away At All

Because I believe in the "we all win together" approach, not the subscribe-to-breathe model the industry's racing toward. And because the best thing that can happen to a tool like this is real people using it and telling me exactly where it falls over. My beta users have already torn strips off parts of it, and I've rebuilt things because of it. More brains on it makes it better for everyone.

So enter, share it with the ADHD person in your life, and let's see who gets lucky.

JD

P.S. To the helpful neurotypicals reading this and thinking "just use a calendar"... mate, we've tried the calendar. Share this with someone who's tried it forty times and blamed themselves every single time. They'll know why.

Cheers,

JD
