What data we collect
When you register or join the waitlist:
- Email address
- Name (if provided)
When you install NeuroRythm:
- A randomly generated install ID (not linked to your identity unless you register)
- Install date and app version
- Your Communi username (only if you choose to enter it during setup)
If you enable error reporting (opt-in):
- Error messages, stack traces, and app state at the time of the error
- Basic system info (OS version, app version)
- Your email address (so we can follow up if needed)
What we never collect:
- Your task content, project names, or personal notes
- Your check-in responses or daily reflections
- Any data you enter into NeuroRythm's productivity features
NeuroRythm is local-first. All your productivity data lives on your device. We don't see it, can't access it, and don't want it. The only data that ever leaves your device is error reports (if you opt in) and community badge sync (if you connect your Communi account).
How we use your data
- Email address — to send product updates, beta communications, and support responses. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Install ID — to match error reports to your install and to sync community badges if you've connected your Communi account.
- Error reports — to diagnose and fix bugs. Reports are reviewed by the development team only.
- Communi username — to deliver community badges earned through the NeuroRythm community to your app.
Data storage and security
Your productivity data is stored locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to our servers.
Registration data and error reports are stored on servers hosted in Australia. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission.
We retain your registration data for as long as your account is active or as required by Australian law. Error report data is retained for up to 12 months.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services:
- SendFox — email marketing. Your email address is stored with SendFox when you join our list. Their privacy policy applies: sendfox.com/privacy
- FormRobin — waitlist form processing
- Communi — community platform, if you choose to join
- Google Calendar — if you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we access only your calendar events for display within NeuroRythm. We do not store calendar data on our servers.
We do not use advertising networks, analytics trackers, or data brokers.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act and applicable laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data

If you are in the UK or EU, additional rights apply under UK GDPR / GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing.
